Policies

Policies are not up for discussion or negotiation. If there is a truly special case, please reach out via email directly.

MEMBERSHIP
A membership in the Ladera Recreation District is REQUIRED in order to participate in our programs.  You DO NOT need to reside in the Ladera Community in order to join. Information about LRD memberships can be found here.

 BILLING / PAYMENT

Once the enrollment window closes, we bill in advance for the Spring, Summer and Fall sessions and in arrears for the Winter I and Winter II session. Invoices will be sent approximately 1 week prior to the start or end of each clinic session and are due within 15 days from the invoice date.  Invoices for Private Lessons are Due upon Receipt

Invoices not paid by their Due Dates are subject to a $50 late fee.

Any unpaid invoices by week 5 of each session will result in suspension of participation. 

For invoice payments, we accept personal checks and Zelle money transfers. If your banking institution offers Zelle, we can be found at plus1tennisacademy@gmail.com

ENROLLMENT/PRICING

Please see SCHEDULE for dates regarding our 2022-23 Clinic Sessions. For all clinic levels, the sign up window opens about 3 weeks before the start of each session. Sign ups are on a first come, first served basis. If you are new to Plus 1 Tennis Academy, a player assessment must be done before you are able to sign up for any clinics. Assessments are done by appointment only. NO DROP IN ASSESSMENTS ARE AVAILABLE.  If you would like to request an appointment, please click here.  Please check Offerings page for current pricing. REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS/CREDITS

No refunds issued once the clinic session has started.  No refunds/credit are given for no-shows. No refunds given if a player is ejected from our program for violations of our Player Code of Conduct. No refunds are given if an injury occurs outside of tennis.

We will always do our best to notify players a minimum of 24 hours in advance should there be a need to cancel any clinic or lesson. However, on certain occasions, we may be forced to call off clinics or lessons within 2 hours of start time.  

Clinic/lesson cancellations due weather will be offered credit or options to make up.

SCHEDULING CHANGES/DROP INS/MAKE UPS

ALL requests for Schedule Changes or Adjustments, or Clinic Drop-In Requests require 48 hours advanced notice. 

Requests for same day Clinic Drop In may. be possible but is subject to space availability. However, it is important to note that we may not be able to guarantee an immediate response if we are teaching on court. We must be notified of any last minute HEALTH RELATED absences  in order to qualify for any make up sessions. Non-notification of absence will be considered a no-show.

Weather conditions and class space permitting, ALL MAKE UPS must be completed before the end of the current session. Generally, we do not carry over make up days from session to session.

WHAT TO WEAR

Tennis appropriate wear is required. We do not allow jeans to be worn on court while participating in any lesson or clinic. We encourage families to check the weather to ensure players are dressed accordingly. Proper footwear is critical to avoid injuries on court. Therefore, we require all participants to wear the proper shoes.
