Belonging is at the core of Plus 1 Tennis Academy where we are connected and belong to something bigger than ourselves. Plus 1 takes pride in building and nurturing  a community where individuals come together to learn, grow and support one another as we share our passion for tennis.

Trust is fundamental to learning and growth. We value candor and honesty and believe that everyone's word should be taken at face value. Only with trust between coach and athlete can players hear and internalize feedback and improve, so we foster an environment where trust is modeled, earned and valued.

 

Care is the superpower that supports and encourages students to pursue their goals and dreams both on and off the court. At Plus 1, we have each other's backs and we encourage each other to go for it and not hesitate because we are in it together, and we will be there every step of the way.

Communication is foundational in our community. Everyone is encouraged to express themselves authentically and to be open with one another. Open communication and consistent eye contact build strong relationships, and we strive to ensure that everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings.

 

Collective Responsibility helps create community out of individuals and is key at Plus 1 Tennis Academy because winning and losing are a team effort. We believe in owning our mistakes and working together to find solutions without blame. Through collaboration we can overcome challenges and achieve our goals.
